Welcome to World Studies!
This year we will cover four major units, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Each unit will last roughly one quarter. These are fascinating periods of history, and our goal is to make it as interesting and fun as possible!
Homework will be posted daily on Google Classroom. Along with homework, we will post the daily lesson so you can refer back to it if you need extra help, or if you just want to review the information learned in class. Remember to see me for a pass during your study hall if you need extra help on a certain topic or assignment.
In World Studies, we use quite a bit of technology. Be prepared! If you have a Chromebook, iPad, laptop, etc., bring it to class. It will make your life easier! If not, you may use school iPads or netbooks.
One thing you will be required to do is to create an online portfolio of your work. This portfolio is a way for us to see what you have learned. Some Fridays you will be given a rubric for the next week's portfolio page. You will be given class time to work on this. If you do not have technology available to you, it is up to you to come during your study halls to complete the assignment. At the end of this school year, you will have a very cool way to look back on everything you learned in seventh grade!
We are excited to work with you this year!
